The Benevolent Society’s vision is to build a just society where all Australians can live their best life. For more than 200 years we have supported people at the margins of society: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians; children, young people, and their families; older people; carers and people with disability. We are an independent, non-religious service provider which supports people to live life their way.
As part of The Benevolent Society's vision, we are strongly committed to reconciliation with our First Nations people of Australia. We remain steadfast in our commitment to promoting the economic, political, and social inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Our Child & Family Wellbeing Service provides early intervention support to children and young people who are showing early signs of, or are at risk of developing a mental illness. The service aims to improve the wellbeing of children and families enabling them to better participate in their communities and reach their full potential.
As our Case Manager, you will work with children, young people and their families to identify and develop supports to address risk factors that may be impacting on their lives.
Working from a child-centred approach, you will help children and young people recognise and manage strong feelings and emotions and help them build their resilience to overcome life’s difficulties. You will offer workshops, groups and community awareness sessions that promote social and emotional wellbeing in children and young people.
You will promote a culture where each family’s point of view and preferences for their wellbeing are recognised, respected and understood. You will be part of a monthly intake roster. There is an expectation to work from the office 50% of the time.
We support people to live their best life. That includes you, our employee. A ‘best life’ is unique to everyone and can change as life changes. Here are a few things you might be interested in:
