Our Early Years Places are community-based locations offering support to families where they are by connecting them with family support, child health services and early childhood education and development support whilst focusing on early intervention and prevention to ultimately empower children and families.
As a Child & Family Practitioner, you will join our small multi-disciplinary team including a Snr Child and Family Practitioner and Speech Pathologist. You will work closely with other community services to ensure families are connected to the supports they need to thrive. Our team has a culture of professional enquiry and all of our programs are child-centred and culturally sensitive.
You will be working alongside each other to support programs focused on the educational, social and emotional development of children (0-8) and their families. Depending on rosters, you may attend and lead our play programs, specialist groups or parenting programs.
Partnering with families, you may also be involved in initial assessment of the family’s strengths and needs. Your case plans will empower families to make lasting change, build upon their resilience to respond to life’s challenges and make referrals to appropriate networks.
We are committed to high quality work, very welcoming and believe with the right support every parent has potential to make lasting life changes.
Terms: Full-time permanent position based in Gracemere & Mt Morgan in Central Queensland where you will have plenty of opportunity to work autonomously while ensuring that our services are effective, culturally appropriate and maximise great outcomes for children and their families.
