The Homeless Engagement Program is an early intervention and prevention program which operates across metro, east, and south-east Sydney.
The Program offers specialist Housing support to Young people (aged 16-24) and Families, with the aim to ensure that individuals are able to access, maintain and sustain housing to meet their individual needs.
About this role:
Partnering with clients, you will assess their current living circumstances and create case plans to secure more suitable, long term housing. You will deliver a better balance between early intervention, crisis and post-crisis support.
You will also work collaboratively with community partners and facilitate connections between clients and the wider community.

- Assisting with housing applications
- Education around homelessness prevention
- Education around Budgeting
- Negotiation with utility companies and landlords
- Support after a housing crisis
- Family and domestic violence support

What you need to succeed
As an experienced Case Worker or Community Development Worker, you will have:
- Case management and coordination experience and understanding of the dynamics around homelessness
- Excellent relationship building skills and existing networks within the local community
- Work in a person-centred, holistic way and deliver outstanding service to our clients
- High level written and verbal communication, it’s important to document our work
- Relevant qualification, for example, Social Work, Psychology, Community Services or Welfare
