We are looking for someone to become our Risk and Quality Lead.

Your new role:

The position is based in our National Office in Glebe. Reporting to the Director Risk and Quality, and supported by a small team of two, you will ensure that TBS has robust risk and quality management systems embedded across its operations and corporate functions by building staff and management capability, supporting and monitoring implementation of relevant standards, and acting as a key point of escalation and support for staff.

Key Responsibilities:

As part of this role, you would typically:

  • Work with managers and directors to ensure that they are identifying and assessing and managing risk in line with the organisations Risk Management policies and procedures; including regularly monitoring Risk Management Plans and Business Continuity Plans, offering coaching, and escalating risks where needed
  • Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of the organisation’s Quality Management System, working collaboratively with the Executive and Senior Leadership teams to ensure that requirements are well understood and embedded across all TBS operations
  • Support managers and directors to implement Continuous Improvement activities, including providing insights and analysis on risk and quality trends and monitoring completion of CI plans in line with organisational policies and procedures
  • Support maintenance of the policy suite and implementation of the policy review schedule
  • Work with the Risk and Quality team and managers and directors across TBS to ensure that complaints and incidents are well managed, including regularly monitoring complaints and incident records and coaching managers on appropriate follow-up or resolution activities where required.
  • Support the design, implementation and ongoing improvement of Risk and Quality training framework, including delivery of training and coaching within the framework

It’s worth knowing who we are looking for:

We are keen to hear from you if you have at least three years of experience in risk and quality management, preferably within a community services organisation. You will also have:

  • Strong working knowledge of legislative and regulatory environment for disability, aged care and child and family services
  • Experience applying best practice risk and quality management practices within community services
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining effective internal and external stakeholder relationships, including the ability to influence others
  • Demonstrated experience in liaising successfully with government agencies and regulatory agencies
  • Superior communication skills (written, verbal) and high- level report writing skills – ability to present information that is evidence based, objective and presented in the format to suit the audience
  • Analytical skills, ability to analyse data and trends and to draw conclusions
  • Knowledge of databases and IT solutions
