About the role  

Our ECA program is expanding! The Early Childhood Approach (ECA) program is a national program supporting children aged 0-9 who have a developmental delay or disability and their families, funded through The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Our ECA services support early childhood activities and interventions to improve the independence and social participation of children with a disability or developmental delay aged 0–9 years. Our services are family-centred, delivered in a child’s natural setting, such as in the home, community, early childhood education and care, and playgroups.   

As a  Service Support Coordinator, you will help coordinate the delivery of our Early Childhood Approach Program by responding to enquiries from clients and families, managing the calendars of our front facing teams, liaising with families regarding booking meetings, and completing administration duties.  Your role will include reviewing and modifying administrative processes and systems to be responsive to the needs of our participants and their families. Your keen eye for detail will be a key asset in compiling information to help the program meet its reporting requirements.  

Duties

  • Serve as the first point of contact for our clients and their families.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to client enquiries, using a human-centred and strengths-based approach to build relationships.
  • Plan, develop and implement administrative processes in liaison with your Team Leader and with the support of Senior Staff that meet the needs of the service and client group.  
  • Coordinate the calendars and correspondence (email and phone) with families and/or other agencies (such as Child Safety, QLD Health) in preparation of meetings with Child Development Specialist/front facing staff, for 6 teams of 50+ staff with adherence to contractual KPI’s. 
  • Manage other tasks as required by the NDIS and TBS such as management of confidential documents.  
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with sensitive information and vulnerable families.

Skills and Experience   

We want you to be successful in your new role. This means you’ll have the following:

  • Certificate IV or Diploma qualified in community services, business administration, or similar all would have relevance.  
  • High level of proficiency across the suite of Microsoft Office programs with a particular strength in Excel is essential.  
  • Ability to provide outstanding service to our clients in a positive, respectful and culturally sensitive way.  
  • Excellent time management and organising skills to balance competing demands.  
  • The capacity to respond quickly and appropriately to meet the needs of the families and front facing staff.   
  • Experience working in similar role for example service coordination, senior admin.  
  • Knowledge of early childhood and disability will be a distinct advantage. 
  • Call-centre experience is advantageous.
