The Benevolent Society’s vision is to build a just society where all Australians can live their best life. For more than 200 years we have supported people at the margins of society: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians; children, young people, and their families; older people; carers and people with disability. We are an independent, non-religious service provider which supports people to live life their way.
As part of The Benevolent Society's vision, we are strongly committed to reconciliation with our First Nations people of Australia. We remain steadfast in our commitment to promoting the economic, political, and social inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Funded by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) and delivered in line with evidence-based best practice, the Early Childhood Approach (ECA) program is designed to provide a range of flexible and responsive supports for children under 9 years with developmental delay or disability. ECA focuses on family-centred practices and a supports greater inclusion for children by building on family strengths and growing the capacity of mainstream and community services to support children with developmental delay or disability.
You will lead a dedicated team of Child Development Specialists who are responsible for gathering information on children’s development and linking families and children with developmental concerns and disabilities with the most appropriate supports. Through clear and focused leadership, professional supervision and practice guidance, you will support your team to provide services in the Moreton Bay region, with some services stretching across Brisbane and Beenleigh.
We support people to live their best life. That includes you, our employee. A ‘best life’ is unique to everyone and can change as life changes:
