TeamHEALTH has become the leading not for profit provider of mental health services in the Top End of the Northern Territory. TeamHEALTH has provided outreach services, support and advocacy for Territorians with mental illness for over 30 years.

Over time TeamHEALTH has developed and now provides a range of recovery focused supports including residential services for people with severe and persistent mental illness, a community housing service, individual recovery and group based support, together with early intervention support, home based aged care support, mental health promotion and education.

The Mental Health Recovery Worker role assists participants in a strengths based, psychosocial rehabilitation framework, with a focus on the life areas of living, learning, working and socialising. They perform an integral role in recovery by supporting participants achieving personal goals and positive outcomes for mental health, physical health and wellbeing.

Possessing qualifications in a relevant community services, mental health or related area the successful applicant will have experience in the delivery of services to people with mental illness and an understanding of the recovery model and psychosocial rehabilitation.

TeamHEALTH recognises the value of experience in all facets of life and work and encourages individuals with a lived experience of mental illness to apply.

The successful applicants will be required to have a current National Police Certificate, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, NT Driver’s Licence and completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module. In line with the NT Chief Health Officer Direction TeamHEALTH staff are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
