This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading environmental stewardship organisation and a passionate team involved in protecting and restoring the reef, rainforest and landscapes of the Wet Tropics in Tropical North Queensland.

Working within our Waterway Health Strategy Unit, this role will assist the delivery of projects that are repairing catchments by reducing the amount of sediment flow and land-based runoff into rivers and the reef. The role reports to a project manager and includes providing coordination, administrative and project management support and advice on Waterway Health projects and programs.

We are looking for:

• An environmental practitioner with experience or knowledge of NRM, waterway health, agriculture, or a related field.
• A team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A self-starter with good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines and work within budgets.
• A problem solver with the ability to anticipate potential issues and develop solutions.

• Full time – 36.25 hours per week

• 5 weeks annual leave (pro rata) with 17.5% leave loading
