About the Role

As a Teuila Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our organisation adheres to the regulatory requirements and standards set forth by the NDIS. You will be responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and implementing compliance measures to uphold the highest standards of service delivery and support for individuals with disabilities. This role is vital in maintaining our commitment to excellence and ensuring that we provide the best possible care and assistance to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep up-to-date with the latest NDIS guidelines, policies, and updates, and apply them to ensure organisational compliance.
  • Develop, review, and update internal policies and procedures, and conduct regular audits to ensure NDIS compliance.
  • Collaborate with departments to resolve compliance issues and prepare required reports for regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain accurate records of NDIS compliance activities and ensure all documentation meets NDIS standards.
  • Provide staff training on NDIS compliance and offer guidance to enhance understanding of compliance obligations.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks.
  • Collaborate with departments on risk management, serve as the NDIS point of contact, and maintain positive relationships with regulatory bodies.

Selection criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Public Administration, Health Services) or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the NDIS framework, Health and safety and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in auditing, quality assurance, or compliance roles within the healthcare or disability services sector.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the NDIS framework, Health and safety and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications
  • Current food safety certification (or willing to obtain).
  • Current Blue card (or willing to obtain).
  • Current NDIS worker screening (or willing to obtain).
  • Valid driver's license and a registered vehicle with comprehensive Insurance
  • Evidence of right to work in Australia.

Schedule

  • 38 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

Experience

  • Minimum 2-year experience as a Compliance Officer.
