About the role:

The Ability Services Coordinator is an integral part of the Healthy People Team, working to provide responsive, individualised services and support for each person and family consistent with their NDIS plan, relevant legislation, TDC policies and quality safety and security guidelines. You’ll be working closely with local community members to develop, guide and implement culturally appropriate, safe, fulfilling, and person-centred NDIS plans.

About You:

• An understanding of the challenges of working in remote Australia.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with people in remote communities.
• Leadership, coaching and mentoring skills
• Understanding of the barriers faced by clients in remote communities who have complex needs and who are culturally and linguistically diverse.
• Demonstrated experience working within disability/social services case management framework.

Essential Licences / Clearances prior to commencement

• Current NT Drivers Licence
• National Police Clearance Check
• NDIS Clearance Check
• NT Working with Children (Ochre card) Check
• Northern Land Council work & resident permits (with assistance)
