This is a unique opportunity for a couple both working in CDP.

The Strong Men & Healthy Homes Coordinator manages the Strong Men program providing a venue for men to work together and to support and develop skills that will gain them community and workplace skills.

The Healthy Homes Coordinator supports the Healthy Homes Cleaning Hub Manager to support and mentor the women to develop and implement meaningful community-based activities and enterprise – this includes Healthy Home cleaning program, Cleaning Hub commercial cleaning, Orange Sky Bus, Community recycling and the Community Nursery activity.

About you

  • Understanding of the challenges of working in remote Australia High level of communication and interpersonal skills with jobseekers in remote communities
  • Understanding of the barriers faced by staff and jobseekers in remote communities who may have complex needs and who are culturally and linguistically diverse
  • Ability to liaise effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders to meet requirements of the role
  • Ability to mentor local Activity Supervisors in the performance of their duties whilst following organisational guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Possess a skill set (trades, textiles, cooking, health, IT etc) that will add capacity to the activity development and implementation
  • Ability to use appropriate IT and online platforms to process comprehensive information

Essential Licences / Clearances prior to commencement

  • NT Drivers Licence (Class C)
  • National Police Check
  • NT Working with Children (Ochre) Card
  • NLC work/residential permits (with assistance from TDC)
