The Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for co-ordinating The Centre’s key touch points with the local community.
Key roles include:
- Coordinate the Reception function including managing volunteers
- Manage the enrolment process for courses and activities offered by The Centre
- Proactively promote and share information about The Centre’s programs and activities to maintain and increase participation, including through social media and web channels
- Manage the effective and efficient office operations of The Centre and Docklands Neighbourhood House
The Community Outreach Coordinator fulfils a vital role at our Neighbourhood House, as the interface between the community and management, community development and volunteers.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience working with community
- Demonstrated ability to foster positive and fruitful relationships with a diverse range of people
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently with databases and other IT systems
- Demonstrated ability to create relevant, aesthetic and impactful marketing materials, including fliers and social media posts
- Proactive attitude and dynamic thinker
- Strong attention to detail
- Good numeracy skills
Regarded favourably:
- Experience managing volunteers
- Experience using student management software
- Web development skills
- Experience co-ordinating a small office
- Experience in the Neighbourhood House sector
- Enterprising mindset
- Qualifications in community services, business administration, marketing or related fields.
