About the role

A great opportunity exists in a newly created role for a senior technical IT expert to join our small SURE technical team. This role is hands-on and will allow the right candidate to build, maintain and support all SURE infrastructure while also developing new technical and security solutions for the platform. The IT Delivery Manager position is the ideal next role for someone who is looking to combine their strong technical expertise, customer central approach to projects, dedicated focus on continuous improvement and team leadership.

Although no two days will be the same, responsibilities will include:

  • Own the SURE Service Desk and providing support to external customers
  • Providing technical advice to deliver improvements to the SURE platform
  • Ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the SURE IT infrastructure
  • Lead IT projects portfolio including upgrade, maintenance and innovation projects
  • Maintain Information security certification through maintenance, awareness and implementation of new controls

About You

Our new IT Delivery Manager will be able to show the following skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of 3rd level systems experience in an environment comprising multiple technologies
  • Strong experience in the successful delivery of IT platforms and management of customer service desk
  • Strong technical experience with server and virtualisation technologies
  • Demonstrated experience in networks supporting switches and firewalls
  • Experience in ISO27001 compliance or another security framework.
  • Highly effective listening, verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.

Any demonstrated experience with hybrid cloud management, Linux (Ubuntu), team leadership or stakeholder management in MSP would also be highly desirable.
