We are recruiting for a Family Support Manager for a not for profit organisation in the Inner West. This organisation provides early intervention services, case management and other support, with the goal of improving child and family health and wellbeing, building resilience, improving family capacity and functioning, decreasing vulnerability and reducing the risk of family breakdown and harm to children.

About the role:

• Manage a team of 3 Full Time Staff – Case Manager, Intake, and a Programs Officer (as well as casuals)
• Initially a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension, dependent on funding
• Full time position (9 day fortnight would be considered)
• Salary from $115-125k plus super, plus salary packaging benefits
• Opportunity to do 1-2 days per week from home
• Inner West Location
• Manage both service delivery as well as operations and strategy

About the organisation:

This organisation have been around for many years, providing services to the community in the Inner West area. They run a number of different programs and initiatives. This role is funded primarily by the NSW Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) under the Targeted Early Intervention (TEI) Program. The service supports families under TEI two streams: Wellbeing & Safety and Community Strengthening and the clients for the service are located within the Inner West area.

Duties:

• Provide supervision, guidance and training to the team
• Run groups and provide therapeutic services to tackle the underlying issues that families face
• Oversee the day-to-day management of the service, whilst also overseeing the operational and strategic elements of the program
• Ensuring processes and outcomes are in line with the TEI contractual requirements
• Developing policies, procedures and systems that support a high-quality family support service
• Developing high quality information resources on relevant local services in an accessible format
• Representing the service at relevant forums and networks
• Managing the service budget

Requirements:

• We are looking for someone with a relevant university qualification, Social Work, Psychology or other related area.
• Someone with previous experience working in the Child Protection / Early Intervention / Family Support area
