We are looking for a General Manager to lead our iconic site at Macadamia Castle. This is a pivotal role in leading all strategic and operational elements of the site, managing staff and liaising with a variety of stakeholder groups. This is an exciting time to join WRA in a new collaboration with Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital in a key leadership role, taking our first site of its kind to its next phase of growth while being a part of an ambitious strategy to improve the reach and impact of WRA & BBWH. The General Manager role is responsible for operations, finance and strategic development of the site. This includes managing all financial and administration matters, managing on-site staff, liaising with volunteers and community groups, generating revenue and managing bookings of on-site facilities.

A keen interest in team building and change management is essential, as is previous management experience leading an organisation at this level. The successful applicant will be someone who is excited to manage all operational aspects of the site, lead a mid-sized team, engage with volunteers, not afraid to get stuck into a huge variety of tasks and be an advocate for environmental and ethical changes in our food supply chain and animal care.
