Our research driven Clown Doctor and Laughter Care programs work with sick children in hospital and elderly people with dementia in aged care facilities to deliver the therapeutic benefits of laughter and joy where it is unexpected, but most needed.

We are passionate about what we do and are looking for a talented Finance Manager/Financial Controller who is equally passionate about our work.
THE ROLE
- Part-time 30 hours per week
- 4 days @ 7.5 hours per day (2 day in office, 2 days WFH) OR 5 days working less hours per day.
- The Financial Controller is responsible for managing all aspects of the Finance team, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, payroll, compliance and financial analysis to aid decision making.
- The role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is supported by an Accounts Officer.
Essential Criteria
- Qualified account (CPA or equivalent) with a minimum of 10 years’ financial experience in a corporate or for-purpose environment.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting techniques.
- Strong ability to take initiative and prioritise workload, including under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail and a commitment to record keeping and reporting in all aspects of work.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Monthly reports, including P&L, balance sheets containing budget/forecasting, cash flow
- Develop annual income and expenditure budget & forecasts. Monitor variances and provide insights and recommendations to achieve targets
- Streamline financial systems and processes to improve efficiency
- Statutory reporting
- Oversee AP/AR
- Coordinate annual audit process
- Manage payroll operations
- Manage Accounts Officer
