Our research driven Clown Doctor and Laughter Care programs work with sick children in hospital and elderly people with dementia in aged care facilities to deliver the therapeutic benefits of laughter and joy where it is unexpected, but most needed. Last year our work benefited over 250,000 Australians.

We are passionate about what we do and are looking for a talented Program Manager who is equally passionate about our work.

THE ROLE

Our sensitive and empathetic Laughter Care performers improve the quality of life for aged care residents in a unique, person-centric way.

Our Laugher Care Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Laughter Care Program. This includes coordination of rosters and meetings, as well as building strong relationships with relevant Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) staff.

The LC program is fee-for-service and this role will be instrumental in demonstrating value for money to existing facilities, upselling additional programs and developing new business with new facilities.

The Laughter Care Program Manager role is 22.5 hours per week and can be worked 3 days at 7.5 hours per day or 4/5 days at less hours per day.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Proven relationship building and stakeholder management skills
  • Confidence to engage with and influence a wide range of stakeholders, especially to promote benefits of Laughter Care programs, speak passionately about the work
  • Able to give feedback and raise issues effectively as a liaison between numerous groups (RACFs, performers, THF staff)
  • Pro-active. Strong ability to take initiative, seek out opportunities and prioritise workload
  • Excellent administrator with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to travel between NSW and Victoria as required
