Our research driven Clown Doctor and Laughter Care programs work with sick children in hospital and elderly people with dementia in aged care facilities to deliver the therapeutic benefits of laughter and joy where it is unexpected, but most needed.
Last year our work benefited over 250,000 Australians.

THE ROLE:
Responsible for donor care and administration, this position plays a crucial role in caring for our generous supporters, especially those who donate monthly to our Clown Doctor and Laughter Care programs.
Essential Criteria:
- Strong communication skills – both verbal and written, with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, always treating clients with respect.
- Excellent listening, problem-solving and negotiation abilities
- Persuasive and able to build rapport with current/potential donors.
- Strong computer skills with experience in the Microsoft suite of products (Teams, Outlook, Excel Word etc.)
- Solid CRM/data entry capability (Raiser’s Edge / NXT) or similar
- Ability to accurately generate reports from financial data.
- Effective prioritisation and time management skills.
- Timely follow up and processing of declined donations
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in arts-based or the for-purpose sector, or a passion for the work being undertaken by The Humour Foundation
- Experience using Raisers Edge or similar CRM
- 2+ years’ experience in a Customer Service role
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
