Thorne Harbour Health, Victoria’s largest provider of LGBTIQ+ health services, is now recruiting for an appropriately qualified Project Coordinator to support an exciting new project, Accessible Pride, which is based in our Head Office in Abbotsford, Melbourne.
The Accessible Pride project aims to improve the lives of LGBTIQ+ people with intellectual disability by building the capacity of service sectors and communities around them to be more welcoming, accessible, inclusive and affirming of their intersectional identities and experiences.
The Project Coordinator will have demonstrable skills in community development work, stakeholder engagement and project management, as well as knowledge of the issues relevant to the project including the complex and intersectional barriers experienced by LGBTIQ+ people with intellectual disability.
By facilitating the meaningful engagement of LGBTIQ+ people with intellectual disability in all aspects of the project, the Project Coordinator will play a key part in ensuring the project activities truly embody and demonstrate best-practice in codesign and codelivery.
