We’ve had some amazing success fundraising in the community both through our life-changing Home Lottery and philanthropy activities over our proud 57-year history in South Australia. We’ve experienced rapid growth in the last 10 years, and now we’re dialing it up another notch, expanding our impact across Australia. Across the 12 charity brands that are part of our Group, we support research, care and health services in over 50 areas of disease and illness; ranging from the most common conditions affecting our loved ones such as cancer, heart disease, dementia and stroke, to rare and under-researched illnesses that need our urgent attention.

That’s why we’re looking for an energetic, purpose-driven individual to join our growing team, who will excel at maximising support in our current networks and generating new supporter leads.

You will work closely with our Senior Manager – Supporter Engagement and our Senior Executive team, backed by a well-developed organisational and fundraising strategy with an ambitious vision to identify opportunities to grow our income through relationship-focused fundraising with high-net-worth individuals, including Trusts and Foundations.

Whilst someone with a not-for-profit and philanthropy background would be ideal, it is not a deal breaker. Maybe you have experience in business development, relationship sales or marketing and now you want to use those skills to raise income for an incredibly worthwhile cause? You can draw on the years of experience from our expert fundraising team to supercharge your skills for good!

About you

To be successful you will need to:

  • be a self-starter, confident, eloquent, professional and demonstrate a whole lot of passion.
  • love building relationships, connecting with people and understanding what makes them tick.
  • enjoy working with a passionate and multi-skilled team, but also be able to work autonomously to lead the growth of our Major Donor program.

About the role

This is a full time role however we will also consider 0.8FTE for the right Candidate.

The role will involve:

  • Identifying new supporter leads, business development
  • connecting those individuals to causes that matter most to them, and ultimately, asking for large donations
  • You will also play a vital role in the feedback loop to our donors once they have made their generous commitment, highlighting the incredible impact of their support through personalised communication and invites to unique events and opportunities to see firsthand the direct impact they are making.
