About Tjamu Tjamu (Aboriginal Corporation) RNTBC

TTAC is a quickly growing and evolving organisation supporting the self determination of Kiwirrkurra People, based on-country in Kiwirrkurra Community, one of Australia’s remotest Aboriginal communities. TTAC’s operations focus on 5 areas – land, cultural heritage, rangers, community, social and economic development and having a strong organisation.

TTAC and Kiwirrkurra People are experiencing a massive phase of change, with increased mining and exploration activity, significant organisational growth, and broader societal and community changes. Over the past 4 years, TTAC has been supported by a PBC Capacity Building grant from NIAA and has made significant progress towards being a well led organisation, governed by a Board of Kiwirrkurra people, and with sufficient resources to achieve the aspirations of Kiwirrkurra People. TTAC has recently received a second PBC Capacity Building grant which aims to consolidate the progress achieved and strengthen TTAC to be self-sustaining into the future.

Working with TTAC offers an experience of the world different to mainstream environments through being in the beautiful, vibrant, living desert and a meaningful opportunity to support Kiwirrkurra People to pursue self-determination and their version of a good life.

About the Role

The Project and Operations Support Officer position’s core responsibility (approx. 75%) will be to support the implementation of TTAC’s PBC Capacity Building Grant, as well as providing operational support across TTAC’s other business areas (approx 25%).

Due to accommodation constraints in Kiwirrkurra, the role will be based in Alice Springs, with roughly monthly weeklong visits to Kiwirrkurra.

About you

The ideal candidate would be an exceptional administrator, with skills and experience developing, adapting and leading the implementation of business processes and systems.
