Young males have unique challenges in life that require a unique approach and that’s why we solely focus on supporting boys and young men aged 10-24. Our evidenced based programs are tailored to the specific needs of young males making positive impact where it matters most. We’ve worked with thousands of young males over the years, so we engage in ways that we know are proven to work.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you ready to ignite change and lead with purpose? Top Blokes is on the lookout for an exceptional individual to take the reins as our Queensland State Manager. If you're driven, innovative, and passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young men, then this is the opportunity you've been waiting for!

As our Queensland State Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our mission, spearheading operations, forging strategic partnerships, and driving growth throughout the state. This isn't just a job—it's a chance to be a catalyst for positive change, to inspire communities, and to empower the next generation of young men to thrive.

The responsibilities held by the State Manger will include:

1. Business Development:

  • Unleash your creativity to cultivate game-changing partnerships.
  • Build bridges and foster relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Lead the charge in discovering new avenues for growth and development.
  • Be the voice of advocacy, championing our cause with government entities.
  • Empower and guide Regional Coordinators to create impactful local connections.

2. Fundraising and Finances:

  • Harness your expertise to secure vital funding from philanthropic and government sources.
  • Chase ambitious targets and conquer the annual budget with finesse.
  • Deliver compelling reports that showcase the impact of our work.

3. Team Management:

  • Cultivate a dynamic and inclusive work environment where every team member shines.
  • Lead by example, embodying our values and inspiring greatness in others.
  • Tackle challenges head-on and foster a culture of resilience.
  • Equip your team with the tools and training they need to soar.
  • Foster collaboration and innovation, sparking creativity and camaraderie.

4. Ethics and Compliance:

  • Uphold the highest standards of safety and integrity in all that we do.
  • Navigate the ethical landscape with integrity and grace.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations while pioneering new horizons.
  • Safeguard our reputation and mitigate risks with vigilance.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Proven history in business development and fundraising
  • Experience in leading a high performing team
  • Ability to engage people and inspire them to our cause
  • High-level oral and written communication
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • The ability to work both collaboratively and independently whilst meeting the demands of the organisation
  • Own car and drivers licence
  • Cleared Blue Card and National Police Check
  • Ability to travel both within state and interstate as required.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  • Experience within the NFP sector
  • Passion for young men’s health and wellbeing
  • Established state level networks
  • Experience using a CRM system preferably Salesforce
