ABOUT US:

The Police Association of Victoria (the Association) represents the industrial, legal and welfare interests of approximately 18,000 sworn police officers and Protective Services Officers (PSOs) in Victoria and is among the most influential and high-profile employee organisations in the state.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Corporate Support Team forms part of the Association’s Corporate Services department which exercises a wide range of the organisation’s administrative and financial responsibilities.

Members of the Corporate Support Team process membership data and activity from recruitment to retirement, administer membership subscriptions, holiday homes operations and office reception.

The Team Leader has an integral hands-on role within Corporate Services, as a motivational leader who mentors the Corporate Support team members, leads by example in providing exceptional day-to-day administration and service in addressing membership enquiries and resolving issues from our newest recruits to those who are retiring.

As supervisor of the Corporate Support team, the Team Leader, is responsible for maintaining an accurate membership database via the CRM, ensures the team provides member-centric support with accurate and timely processing of membership transactions, membership data analysis and provision of regular and timely reporting to the Senior Administration and Board on membership metrics.

This role also oversees the responsibility for facilities and bookings management, retirement function, coordination for all TPAV’s holiday home properties and its head office located in East Melbourne.

The Team Leader assesses administrative systems and practices to optimise efficiency and productivity which support the provision of quality services and outcomes for members.

It is important the Team Leader fosters effective and collaborative internal relationships across all teams.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a demanding and process-driven office environment
  • Demonstrated experience in the supervision and mentoring of team members
  • Proficiency in key Microsoft Office software (ie: Word, Excel, Teams etc), membership management software and report writing.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and creative in finding ways to engage and resolve complex issues.
