Homelessness Melbourne Metro is committed to providing person centred care, trauma informed practice and a strengths-based approach to improve the health, wellbeing and housing outcomes for people experiencing homelessness.
The Homelessness Melbourne Metro region is a large Homelessness provider in the inner city of Melbourne and provides a comprehensive range of residential & community services across six sites in St Kilda, Footscray, North Melbourne, West Melbourne & Kensington.
Community programs include the Crisis Contact Centre, Community Outreach Services for single adults, support for older people in public housing, rough sleeper & street sleeping initiatives, community participation and AOD support.
Residential services operate from Foley House in Footscray, the Open Door in North Melbourne and Flagstaff in West Melbourne. Homelessness Melbourne Metro is supported by co-located services including the TSA Chaplaincy program, Bolton Clarke primary health service and NDIS support coordination.
The Support in Public Housing Program Team Leader is part of a collaborative community support team that provides housing & community support to individuals aged over 55 years with a history of experiencing homelessness & disadvantage, living across five older person's public housing properties on the North Melbourne housing estate.
The aim of SPHP is to maximise each client's independence through person centred and capacity building approaches to service delivery. The program's main focus is to assist marginalised, vulnerable and or at-risk residents to maintain good health and to continue their independence in a sustained tenancy.
We are committed to working with the most disadvantaged, marginalised and complex members of our community to support them in recovering from their experience of trauma and homelessness.

This is a permanent full time position, located in North Melbourne, close to public transport and parking. You will be required to participate in an on-call roster when required. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award Level 6.
