This opportunity will allow successful Trainees to gain valuable entry level skills and practical hands on experience. Candidates will complete a Certificate I in Construction and will gain valuable skills and practical hands on experience whilst undertaking construction projects.
Projects may include concreting pathways, painting, fencing, shelving, furniture making, constructing seating and some basic construction maintenance. Candidates will learn industry specific skills and complete a Certificate I in Construction. These positions are funded by the Queensland Government under the Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative
The Traineeship is focused on developing vocational and employability skills for long-term unemployed and disadvantaged job seekers and provide them with pathway into employment.
Trainees will receive 6 months paid employment.
