Why this role matters

The Doorways program provides person centred care to community members experiencing financial or other forms of hardship through the provision of financial and material emergency relief. Case management is provided at some of the Doorways sites to engage people through early intervention as well as address long term disadvantage to break the cycle of poverty and alleviate financial hardship. Our practitioners are strength based and trauma informed in their practice to build individual capacity, resilience and wellbeing.

About the role

We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Christmas Warehouse Coordinator, at our Pooraka location. Reporting to the Doorways State Manager, this is a fixed term, part time role offering 32 hours per week (0.8 FTE) until the 30th June, 2026 (with possible extension).

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS award, level 4.

You will successfully

  • Provide support to the Doorways State Manager and Regional Manager.
  • Volunteers are recruited and supervised in line with TSA Policy and Procedure
  • A collaborative approach to service delivery and improvement is demonstrated within the team.
  • Reflective practices are implemented for the team and contribute to improved outcomes for community members.
  • Thorough record of donated stock is maintained.
  • Develop, network and maintain positive relationships with members of the working group and other relevant stakeholders such as Corps Officers and Area Officers

You will have (Requisite Skills & Qualifications)

  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Drivers Licence
  • A current and valid Working with Vulnerable People Check (Child Related Activity)
  • Management of staff / volunteers
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Warehouse experience preferred
  • Experience in project coordination or, project management and administration would be an advantage
