Established in 1986, Tenants Queensland (TQ) is a specialist state-wide community legal service for tenancy law matters providing free tenancy law advisory services for residential tenants. TQ seeks to protect and improve the rights of all people who rent their home in Queensland including those who live in marginal tenures such as caravan parks and boarding houses. TQ provides a range of tenancy information and advocacy services including: a state-wide telephone advice service for tenants, tenancy publications, a tenancy law training program, and research and policy development in relation to tenancy law issues.

With a commitment to social justice, the TQ QSTARS Tenant Advice Worker plays a critical role in the delivery of expert, accurate and consistent tenancy advice and casework services to residential renters in relation to the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008.
You will assist tenants to identify the strengths and resources required to address and solve their tenancy problems. This position is dedicated to the provision of high quality advice, information, referral and support to tenants.
The position description sets out the pre-requisites for the position and, in particular, the classification level of employment depending on your tenancy knowledge at commencement, or where required, once a period of training has occurred and formal signoff as an unsupervised advice worker has been achieved.
