As CEO for Woden Community Service (WCS), one of Canberra's largest not-for-profit organisations with services focusing on children's and family, disability and therapy, mental health and wellbeing, aged care, housing and community support, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact. The outgoing CEO is leaving a strong legacy for you to build on and plenty of opportunity to lead the organisation into its next phase of growth.
Success as CEO will be measured by your ability to shape and execute the strategic plan, build and maintain strong relationships with key senior stakeholders, and ensure the ongoing financial sustainability of the organisation. You will bring a fresh perspective while staying true to WCSs values, guiding the organisation towards growth and ensuring its ongoing impact for the community.
Having experienced shifts and ongoing challenges across the sector WCS are building exciting new social enterprise initiatives which are showing potential; what this means for you is an opportunity to apply an entrepreneurial approach to develop these further into robust service offerings. It also paves the way for you to pioneer creative solutions to the challenges facing the sector.
You are courageous and growth orientated in your leadership style, underpinned with an ability to make sound business decisions. You understand the delicate balance of values-based operations coupled with professionalisation and business acumen to ensure sustainability across all lines of service.
As CEO you will connect with a diverse range of stakeholders including senior public servants and ministers in ACT and Federal Governments, your sector peers and the community we serve so you must cultivate strong relationships and maintain WCSs position as a trusted community leader.
