Banking & Data Processing Officer

The Wilderness Society

The Wilderness Society is working for a future that does not rely on continued destruction of nature and our climate, but rather flourishes because of our responsible stewardship of these core life support systems. We value organisational independence and integrity.

Be part of a team that’s secured some of the biggest wins for Australian wilderness and nature: stopping the damming of the Franklin River forty years ago, keeping big oil out of the Great Australian Bight, or defending special forests the length and breadth of this continent.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Banking & Data Processing Officer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data within The Wilderness Society’s CRM systems.

This role calls for a detail-oriented, reliable individual who values precision and confidentiality in managing data. As part of a supportive team, the officer will reliably process financial transactions, safeguard data security, and uphold high standards of data hygiene. This position offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to an organisation dedicated to its environmental purpose.

IS THIS FOR YOU?

We encourage applicants from all stages of their careers, including those with a strong foundation of experience and reliability. This role is particularly well suited for individuals looking to leverage their experience in a flexible, purpose-driven position.

  • Are detail-oriented and enjoy seeing the numbers balance perfectly
  • Are ready to take up the invitation and the challenge of the role
  • Enjoy a steady routine and find satisfaction in the rhythm of recurring tasks
  • Are eager to grow your skills, experience and the organisation’s impact
  • Are able to give and apply feedback
  • Bring a dedication to transforming Australia into a society that protects, respects and connects with the natural world that sustains us.
