Fossil Fuel Industry Campaigner - Flexible Location

The Wilderness Society

ABOUT US

The Wilderness Society is working for a future that does not rely on the continued destruction of nature and our climate, but rather flourishes because of our responsible stewardship of these core life support systems. We value organisational independence and integrity, and the power of people to make change.

We are a dedicated team that’s secured some of the biggest wins for Australian wilderness and nature beginning with stopping the damming of Tasmania’s Franklin River forty years ago, protecting Waldaman / James Price Point in the Kimberley from a ginormous gas hub, or defending special forests the length and breadth of this continent.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This new and exciting senior role is an incredible opportunity to make an impact for nature and for climate.

The Fossil Fuel Industry Campaigner will work to protect our climate and oceans by curtailing the ongoing expansion of fossil fuel extraction and bringing forward responsible decommissioning of aging offshore oil and gas infrastructure.

You are an effective and strategic advocate, as well as a great communicator who is curious and loves to solve complex problems. You are driven to succeed and have a demonstrated track record in delivering impactful campaigns.
