What we are looking for
As the Retention Marketing Executive at UNICEF Australia, you will play an effective and efficient supporting role in retaining and engaging our amazing donor base.
You will be a valuable team player and will be focused on the ongoing growth of our regular giving and cash programs, on top of optimising marketing programs and delivering a behaviour-based donor journey that will help our supporters stay loyal to us and the work we do for children.

Your day will include
Effectively and efficiently supporting the marketing team in growing regular giving products, increasing pledge acquisition and retention through the optimisation of our existing regular giving products.
This role will work closely within Individual Giving and the wider Fundraising & Communications division to grow our regular giving supporter base and increase UNICEF Australia’s overall unrestricted revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to and execute marketing strategies that aim to maximise revenue, loyalty and influence from our existing supporter base
- Provide assistance in the implementation of communications and programs aimed at our regular supporters
- Optimise marketing programs on an ongoing basis providing creative and data-driven adjustments to existing and future programs to enhance supporter journeys.
- Delivery of supporter engagement initiatives which includes events, communications, surveys
- Execute lifecycle activities of direct marketing campaigns, as well as review and report on past campaigns
- Collaborate with a wide variety of external agencies and internal stakeholders
- Deliver campaigns on time and within budget
- Willingness to go the extra mile during times of emergency, events or campaigns
We would like you to have the following skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Communications or equivalent experience
- Minimum 1 – 3 years marketing experience in a consumer environment
- Successful fundraising experience and/or understanding of the not-for-profit sector and the motivations of donors is highly desirable
- Effective management in the development and implementation of multiple projects to meet stakeholder requirements
- Demonstrated success in meeting tight time frames and staying within budget
- Experience with digital marketing technology, including CRMs (Salesforce preferred), CMS, Google Analytics and email marketing software (Marketing Cloud preferred)
- Experience with analytics and reporting
- Experience working with external agencies or stakeholders
- High level written and oral communication skills
- Strong organisational and administrative skills including effective teamwork
- Ability to identify critical issues in supporter acquisition and retention and devise innovative solutions
- A passionate and energetic team member with a genuine interest in working in the international aid and development sector
