Job Description

This role will be varied in its responsibilities and will enable you to build your skill set. Whilst your key focus will be to support the team, you will gain experience in fundraising, communications and relationship management as well as building your understanding of international development programming. As you learn and grow in this role there will be future opportunity for growth within the team and the organisation.

Your day will include

  • Providing administrative support to the wider philanthropy team including scheduling, meeting preparation, summaries and follow up
  • Leading on elements of the mid value donor strategy including digital communications, tax and Christmas appeals
  • Supporting with data analysis and effective data management using the Salesforce platform
  • Opportunity to manage small portfolio for right candidate

We would like you to have the following skills and experience

  • This is an entry level role, for someone looking to learn and progress in relationships/philanthropy, any experience in philanthropy, fundraising or similar well regarded
  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in international development or other relevant area of study, desirable but not essential
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skill with a natural ability to build relationships 
  • Experience communicating to a range of different audiences
  • Ability to exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • A dynamic, self-motivated, ‘people person’ with a genuine interest in working in the international aid and development sector
  • A confident kind team player looking to join a happy collaborative team
