What we are looking for

UNICEF Australia is actively seeking a Philanthropy Manager to join their dynamic Fundraising team. In this role, you’ll report to the Senior Partnerships Manager and play a pivotal role in managing relationships with major donors and trusts and foundations in Western Australia. Your responsibilities will include acquiring new donors and nurturing existing relationships. If you’re an energetic, self-motivated individual with a passion for making a difference in international aid and development, this opportunity could be a perfect fit!

Your day will include

• Focus on nurturing and expanding relationships with UNICEF Australia’s existing donor portfolio in WA through exceptional relationship management and stewardship.
• Develop strategies and deliver events, appeals, marketing and communications that provide opportunities to identify new prospects and more deeply engage with current donors.
• Raise awareness and inform prospects and donors all about UNICEF’s international and domestic programs.
• Identify and oversee grant making opportunities in Western Australia.
• Exhibit positive and effective leadership within the fundraising team at UNICEF Australia, integrating philanthropy seamlessly into the wider organisation.

WE would like you to have the following skills and Experience

• Appropriate tertiary qualification related to Business or Communication-relevant degree.
• A minimum 3 years’ experience in Philanthropy/ Major Donor/ Trust & Foundation Fundraising at management level.
• Exceptional and persuasive written and verbal communications skills.
• Exceptional organisation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skill with a natural ability to build relationships.
• Knowledge of professional fundraising standards, practice and regulatory compliance issues.
• A dynamic, self-motivated ‘people person’.
• A passionate and energetic team member with a genuine interest in working in the international aid and development sector.
