Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (DPIL) empowers parents to be their child’s first teacher, before formal schooling begins. This simple, effective book gifting intervention can have long-term impacts for literacy of individuals and communities.

WORK REMOTELY IN 2022!

Reporting to the Imagination Library Operations Lead, the DPIL Admin Support will provide administrative assistance for two aspects of our program: the Victorian SRF program and the NSW Brighter Beginnings project. This assistance is mainly in the form of data entry and database management tasks as well as assisting community partners (e.g., preschool teachers, local health staff, and librarians) with queries.

Term: Part time (4 days/30.4 hours per week) fixed-term contract each year aligned to funding cycles with the potential to expand.

YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Responding to community partner enquiries
  • Data entry and database maintenance
  • Assisting with the monthly process which sends 1000s of books to children across Australia
  • Working within the DPIL team

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE

  • Cert 2 or equivalent 1-2 years experience in an administration / coordination role
  • Experience using a variety of databases and computer software
  • Experience in customer relations and an ability to work positively with a broad range of people from various backgrounds
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities and work independently and in a team
  • Knowledge of business systems
  • A willingness to comply with UWA COVID safety plan

Please note this is a remote/work from home role. Applicants living anywhere in Australia are welcome to apply but should note the following:

  • The successful applicant will be required to complete the majority of their work between 9-5 AEST, with some flexibility to work at other times.
  • Current staff members live around Sydney and in Canberra. While all training and work can be done remotely, applicants may benefit from being able to do some in-person training and work.
