Remote / Work from Home
Do you want to help bring the gift of reading to children across Australia?
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (DPIL) empowers parents to be their child’s first teacher, before formal schooling begins. This simple, effective book gifting intervention can have long-term impacts for literacy of individuals and communities.
Reporting to the Imagination Library Operations Lead, the DPIL Admin Support will provide administrative assistance for two aspects of our program: the Victorian SRF program and the NSW Brighter Beginnings project. This assistance is mainly in the form of data entry and database management tasks as well as assisting community partners (e.g., preschool teachers, local health staff, and librarians) with queries.
Term: Part time (4 days/30.4 hours per week) fixed-term contract each year aligned to funding cycles with the potential to expand.
For a full list of responsibilities and selection criteria, please see the position description.
We have been helping Australians in communities of disadvantage to reach their full potential for more than 60 years. Our model of change is to empower children and young people through flagship early childhood and youth employment initiatives. We also work to develop new approaches which challenge the status quo in tackling complex social issues, including our innovative business park model and collective impact work. United Way Australia is the licensee of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Australia, operating in communities across the country.
We will be interviewing as applications are submitted. For enquiries about this position, please contact Melanie Bye, Imagination Library Operations Lead, at [email protected] using the subject line: DPIL Admin Support enquiry via EthicalJobs.
Please note this is a remote/work from home role. Applicants living anywhere in Australia are welcome to apply but should note the following:
UWA is committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities and people we support and advocate for. We encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, people of all ages, identities, and abilities. We pride ourselves on being a client and child safe organisation and as such all our staff and volunteers go through security screening relevant to the role.
