About the Role:

As a Business Reporting Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Uniting has the information it needs to achieve its strategic goals. Your responsibilities will include gathering requirements, designing, developing, implementing, and supporting performance dashboards, compliance reports, and data quality reports. You will monitor service program performance, ensure data accuracy, and promote a self-service reporting culture among end users.

Your key focus will be on continually improving both existing reports and the quality of underlying data, leveraging emerging technologies. The role is based in North Parramatta, with flexible work hours and part-time work-from-home arrangements available for Greater Sydney residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and interpret requirements from stakeholders.
  • Develop data and reporting solutions to meet organisational needs.
  • Utilise SQL to query databases and extract data.
  • Employ DAX, data modelling, and Power BI for user-friendly data presentation.
  • Manage prototyping and UAT, training and documentation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Manage multiple priorities to deliver solutions.
  • Travel as required to engage with stakeholders in person.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Statistics, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst or Reporting Analyst role
  • 2-3 years of experience with Business Intelligence tools, particularly Power BI and DAX
  • Strong SQL skills including complex querying
  • Excellent communication skills required
  • Agile, Jira, Crystal and ITIL framework experience preferred.
  • Current NSW driver's licence required.

Technical Assessment: Please note that as part of the interview process, a technical exercise will be set to measure your SQL, Power BI, and DAX level of experience.
