Join us at Uniting as a Change Manager and play a key role in steering impactful change initiatives. In this position, you’ll help guide our teams through transformational projects, creating artefacts that ensure a smooth and well-documented transition, which supports organisational growth and success.
Role Highlights
- Develop and Execute Change Plans: Create targeted change strategies that align with project goals, engage stakeholders, and foster a culture of readiness.
- Engagement and Relationship Building: Forge strong connections across the organisation to facilitate smooth transitions, supporting both managers and project teams in integrating change initiatives.
- Risk Management and Transition Support: Mitigate potential risks by cultivating change management strategies that ensure successful outcomes and a unified approach.
- Promote Inclusivity: Contribute to a safe and inclusive workspace, celebrating diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
Key Accountabilities
- Deliver tailored change management strategies to support organisational initiatives, driving a smooth and inclusive transition process.
- Identify critical change activities and support roles required for the success of each project.
- Create Change Artefacts for Awareness: Collaborate with the Communications and Learning & Development teams to develop and distribute artefacts such as communication materials, training guides, and awareness campaigns, ensuring alignment with change objectives.
- Collaborate with Communications and Learning & Development teams to develop resources, campaigns, and other collateral to build change awareness.
- Work closely with senior leaders, advising and coaching them on their role in change to foster an adaptable and change-ready culture.
- Establish a supportive working environment that values diversity in all forms – nationality, cultural background, LGBTI status, abilities, gender, and age.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of change management experience, with proven skills in methodologies like Prosci/ADKAR, Kotter, or HCD.
- Strong track record in both waterfall and agile project environments.
- People-centred approach with a deep understanding of the human side of change.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with audiences at all levels.
- Ability to influence and lead without direct authority, building relationships and aligning teams toward common goals.
- Adaptability and resilience in navigating ambiguity, with a natural inclination for strategic planning.
- Demonstrated passion for social change, with a commitment to making a positive impact.
Desirable:
- Experience with large-scale change initiatives within complex organisational structures.
- Open to the ideas of others and feedback, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
