This exciting Senior Leadership role is responsible for leading the delivery of integrated, person-centred services to our aged care clients within the South Coast region, including home and community care, independent living, and residential aged care.

The primary focus is on ensuring the sustainable operation of Seniors Services as well as driving continuous growth in line with the strategic business plan and overarching service models.

You will play a key leadership role as a member of the Seniors Services directorate. As the Head of Seniors Services, will see you champion collaboration and ensure integration across the directorate, and Uniting more broadly, to deliver seamless and impactful end-to-end services with the client at the centre.

You’ll maintain a high standard of conduct and work performance based on Uniting’s values to promote our reputation with key internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with your colleagues and leadership team to translate business strategies into relevant plans and actions that enable the provision of person-centred service delivery to clients.

As the Head of South Coast, you will:

  • Lead a team of about 700 people with a residential aged care revenue budget of more than $100m, responsibility for a number of independent living villages and the growth of Home and Community Care.
  • Define the priorities and outcomes for an integrated Seniors Services stream.
  • Work with government and industry bodies to ensure services comply with all legislative requirements and are delivered to the standards required.
  • Monitor trends and changes across the Aged Care industry and ensure that appropriate service development initiatives are developed and implemented accordingly.
  • Track and forecast the operational performance against the business plan and take the lead in the development of solutions to proactively overcome business challenges.
  • Lead the growth of a workplace culture centred around accountability, collaboration, sustainability, continuous improvement, and quality, person-centred care.
  • Inform and contribute to capital projects to support the refurbishment and development of services as required.
  • Travel between Uniting and community sites as required.

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor qualification in a relevant business field or equivalent experience in a relevant health care or management field
  • Solid and extensive experience in the Aged Care industry
  • Demonstrated and proven experience managing large and complex services.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing organisational change.
  • Demonstrated passion for social change and contributing to an organisation of influence for the most vulnerable, at-risk, and disadvantaged members of the community.
  • A people leader of diverse and inclusive teams
  • Current and unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence for travel between Uniting and community sites
