About the role:

This is a full-time permanent position (76 hours per fortnight) can be based anywhere in Greater Sydney/Central Coast locations. Starting base annual salary $146,400 plus super, plus access to generous salary packaging options!

About the Opportunity:

As the Newpin Operations Manager, you won’t just be leading programs—this is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable families across NSW.

Imagine leading a team that transforms lives every day—where your skills, passion and your leadership can create brighter futures for children and their families. This role is about more than operations; it’s about empowering those who need it most.

Your Impact:

  • Lead with purpose: Guide and inspire a dedicated team of Centre Coordinators and practitioners to deliver life-changing programs that uplift families facing significant challenges.
  • Be the Expert: Provide high-level practice supervision and support, ensuring that every aspect of our Newpin programs reflects best practice and excellence.
  • Drive Change: Help shape the future of Uniting’s Newpin programs through continuous improvement, innovation, and a commitment to learning. Your insights will shape policies, procedures, and the way we engage with vulnerable communities.
  • Champion for Families: Work closely with stakeholders, from the Department of Communities and Justice to NGO service providers, to ensure our programs are fully referred and have the capacity to support as many families as possible at a point in time.
  • Inspire and Grow: Empower your team through training and development, fostering a culture of reflective practice and professional growth. Together, you’ll create an environment where staff feel valued, supported, and equipped to change lives.

About You:

  • You’re a natural leader with a heart for people.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in child and family services.
  • A deep commitment to supporting vulnerable families and a proven ability to lead in challenging environments.
  • High-level therapeutic and restoration practice supervision skills.
  • A passion for leading continuous improvement, innovation, and professional learning in self and others.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the delivery of performance based contracts.
  • A current driver’s licence and a current NSW WWCC.
  • Ability and flexibility to be able to travel to different Newpin locations.
