About the opportunity

Uniting is seeking experienced Personal Assistant and Project Officer to work at Uniting in Sydney Central, NSW, on a Part-Time permanent basis. Our Personal Assistant and Project Officer is core to the Uniting team.

This role is responsible for providing direct administrative support to the Head of Residential Operations and the wider local operational team.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Ensure that all activities and operations within the scope of responsibility are performed in accordance with the allocated budget and policy guidelines
  • Diary appointments, meetings and travel is arranged to meet the priorities of the Head of Residential Operations and to avoid double bookings or conflicts;
  • Provide the Head of Residential Operations with all relevant information to facilitate appropriate preparation for all meetings, projects and priorities;
  • Coordinate the logistical arrangements for all meetings convened by the Head of Residential Operations, including minute taking where necessary;
  • Involvement in and coordination of local project activities as directed by the Head of Residential Operations;
  • Ensure that engagement with external parties enhances Uniting’s reputation and growth.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years’ experience in personal administrative support and/or project coordination
  • Formal qualifications in an administrative field

Skills & experience

  • High attention to detail and ability to problem solve, negotiate, mediate and resolve conflict
  • Great communication and customer service skills and the ability to get along easily with others 
  • Great understanding of Work Health and Safety principles and risk management practices 
  • Tech savvy with the capacity to document and communicate electronically, including via email and mobile phone
  • Great organisation and time management skills 
  • Experience using client/data management systems
