This is a permanent full-time opportunity working 35 hours /week (Monday - Friday) and will be based at Newpin in Bidwill
We’re looking for a supportive and adaptable Play Facilitator to join our Newpin team in Bidwill! You will provide therapeutic play opportunities to help families referred for child restoration. Working in our purpose-built family playroom, you’ll support parents and children to build attachment, self-regulation, and emotional development through play.
The Newpin program specialises in supporting parents to work towards having their children safely returned to their care.
Appropriate cultural knowledge and understanding of First Nations history, challenges and protocols is important to deliver effectively in this role. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.

TQ1: Demonstrated ability to work with children who have experienced trauma and a lived exp in the child protection system
TQ2: Demonstrated skills and experience providing therapeutic activities and guiding a therapeutic play space, while working through a trauma responsive lens
TQ3: Demonstrated skills and experience providing a safe therapeutic space for children and their parents
