About the role

In this vital position, you will play a key role in ensuring that Uniting’s residents are supported through the rent review process, working with them to maintain tenancy stability. You will monitor rental income, manage arrears, and contribute to ongoing process improvements, helping to deliver the highest standards of service to our residents and stakeholders.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting the rent review process for all Housing residents, ensuring compliance with tenancy laws and Uniting policies.
  • Providing administrative support to the team, including maintaining accurate records and managing customer enquiries.
  • Monitoring rental income and arrears through debtor reporting, and working with residents to build an understanding of timely rent payments.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to internal processes, focusing on efficiency, customer service, and the use of the tenancy management database.
  • Supporting the Administration Coordinator with general tasks, including meeting coordination and correspondence.
  • Participating in service planning and policy development to enhance our proactive approaches to income management and tenancy support.

What you'll bring:

  • Relevant qualifications in administration, community services, business administration, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
  • Excellent financial management skills, particularly around rent calculation, data management, and arrears monitoring.
  • Knowledge of NSW and ACT residential tenancy laws, and the ability to manage matters at the Tribunal.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with residents and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

Desirable experience

  • Previous experience in rent review and income management.
  • A sound understanding of financial and customer management systems.
