Join Uniting’s Registered Training Organisation, the Uniting Institute of Education, as a Trainer and Assessor, delivering accredited training programs to Uniting staff.

This is an incredible opportunity to empower Uniting’s dedicated staff, who are on the front lines across NSW and ACT, delivering essential services to communities where they’re needed most. Your work will directly contribute to building their skills, confidence, and capacity to make a lasting impact.

As a key member of our education delivery team, you’ll play an essential role in fostering the professional development of our staff by providing flexible, engaging, and high-quality training that supports them to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver structured, flexible, and engaging training to support learners at all levels.
  • Ensure fair, valid, and timely assessment processes, maintaining accurate records.
  • Work closely with the Learning@Uniting team to address student support needs.
  • Facilitate and assess units of competency according to training plans.
  • Mentor and support students, contributing to a rewarding learning experience.
  • Ensure compliance with UIE policies, procedures, and audit requirements.
  • Participate in the review and improvement of training and assessment strategies.
  • Support continuous improvement by evaluating course materials and delivery methods.
  • Attend professional development and ensure current industry knowledge.
  • Travel to training venues across NSW and ACT as required.

Qualifications:

  • TAE40110 or TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Current Registered or Enrolled Nurse registration.
  • At least 5 years of industry experience in the nursing or health sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience delivering engaging accredited training programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration.
  • Ability to deliver both face-to-face and virtual training.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and experience in planning and delivering training.
  • Current National Police Check, Working with Children Check, and Driver’s License.
