This is full-time close period contract position until June 30th 2025, with headspace Primary Care team, based at headspace, Penrith.
headspace Penrith is one of the headspace centres under Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds. We can help young people with mental health, physical health (including sexual health), alcohol and other drug services, and work and study support.

The Youth Access Team Clinician is responsible for facilitating integrated holistic health care, with the aim of improving outcomes for young people accessing headspace Penrith. As one of the first contact points for young people at the centre, the Youth Access Clinician will need to build a positive rapport with a wide range of young people, as well as their family and friends.
The Youth access Team Clinician will conduct intake and assessment of young people presenting to the service, including complex risk assessments and action a plan to mitigate any identified risk. They will also co-ordinate care, ensure treatment goals are met and adjusting provisions to help the young person meet their identified needs and goals.
The Youth Access Clinician will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including general practitioners, allied health clinicians, community engagement workers, and support staff. They will also work closely with local community and partner youth and health services to provide holistic and integrated care.
