To be eligible to apply for this position, applicants must identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

This will be a Permanent Part time Position 3 days per week.

Your Impact:

As an Aboriginal Peer Worker, you will:

• Provide vital AOD harm minimisation information to our clients, following evidence-based best practices.
• Offer clients valuable insights into accessing our services and what they can expect.
• Co-facilitate engaging group sessions and one-on-one interactions with our clients.
• Empower clients from a peer perspective.
• Contribute to our Clean Needle Program, making a positive impact on public health.

About You

You will have demonstrated experience in the following areas:

• Personal experience within the Community Services Sector
• Knowledge of the AOD sector, health sector and harm minimisation strategies
• Good written and oral communication skills
• The ability to connect with and engage a diverse range of people.
• A strong commitment to ethical customer service.
