An opportunity exists to join one of South Australia’s leading not-for-profits as the creative force behind compelling content, thoughtfully developed to showcase the impactful work happening across Uniting Communities.
We are searching for a Communications Coordinator on a permanent part-time (0.8FTE) basis to complete our ambitious, change-making Advocacy, Communications and Marketing team.
This role balances creativity and critical thinking. You’ll seek out opportunities to share stories that make a difference across our broad portfolio of brands and services. Make the most of this rare opportunity to be part of a values-driven organisation chasing bold things.
As our Communications Coordinator, you’ll bring your experience, skills, and enthusiasm for collaboration to provide integral communications support across the organisation.
This role offers the chance to develop dynamic content tailored to diverse audiences across a range of channels. Aside from developing compelling content that cuts through, you’ll champion inclusive communication practices to support and connect with our whole community.
With a focus on providing exceptional service to our internal and external partners, you’ll be confident offering best-practice guidance and practical communications support to help achieve outcomes aligned with our strategic plan.
As our organisation drives innovative solutions to age-old problems, you’ll help to identify and take up communications opportunities to match. In this role, you’ll be encouraged to write boldly and help craft a distinctive voice to match Uniting Communities’ vision and values.
First and foremost, you’ll be a solid writer.
While we value your experience and qualifications, this role will suit someone who chases solutions and comfortably straddles the line between creativity and critical thinking. You know just what message to deliver, how, and to whom.
You can create and adapt content to engage readers, from staff, clients and donors through to government stakeholders. You’ll be someone who appreciates clarity, nuance and inclusion through your writing.
Armed with an eagle eye for details, you’ll be a swift editor who gently guides colleagues to write within our style, tone and voice. You’ll be someone is keen to contribute to exciting projects and has a passion for working with others to achieve the best outcomes for all.
Ideally, you will have experience working in a not-for-profit environment but hey – if not – don’t let that stop you from pressing send.
You’ll be someone who wants to use their talents to create change, isn’t afraid to do things differently, and thrives on a deadline.
Aside from creating real change and working within an incredible team (if we do say so ourselves!), Uniting Communities offers access generous salary packaging benefits, paid maternity leave and our early intervention physio program, to name a few incentives.
You’ll be joining a team that offers flexibility, with hybrid work from home options available.
When you are in the office, you’ll be working from U City, Uniting Communities’ vertical village. Situated in the heart of Adelaide city, U City brings together our whole community through popular cafes, an active retirement community, service delivery, a local dentist, legal practitioners and even a buzzing art space.
U City is South Australia’s first carbon neutral building and we’re continuing to lead the way, as we push to reach Net Zero by 2035. As our new Communications Coordinator, you’ll be part of building (pun intended) a cleaner, greener future at Uniting Communities.
We thought you’d never ask!
