Streetlink, a youth health service within Uniting Communities, is dedicated to providing a secure space for young individuals aged 12 to 25, who are homeless or at risk, to access information, support, and connect with someone who cares.

About the Role:

As a GP with Streetlink, you'll embark on a dynamic and fulfilling journey where each day brings new challenges and opportunities. Your role involves closely engaging with young people, playing a pivotal role in enhancing their health and well-being outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive General Practitioner services to the client group and their children
  • Offer medical treatment and referrals
  • Manage medication orders, prescribing medication, and overseeing onsite pharmaceuticals
  • Contribute to health education programs and strategies targeting vulnerable young people
  • Maintain client medical records using practice software
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of medical programs and procedures

About You:

  • Vocational Registration as a General Practitioner in Australia (mandatory)
  • Registration with the Medical Board of Australia, requiring a Medicare provider number for the site
  • Professional experience in delivering GP Services
  • Experience working with young adults, adolescents, and children
  • Experience in ante and post-natal care
  • Experience in responding to mental health, including complex trauma, sexual health, and substance use presentations
