Role Overview:

Join the UnitingSA Housing team as a Tenancy Officer. Report to the Manager, Tenancy Services, and ensure effective tenancy management across all areas from allocation to vacancy. Deliver high-level holistic tenancy support connecting the tenant with wrap-around services to maintain their housing. Drive efficient tenancy process management ensuring a quality service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clear, accurate, and consistent tenancy information to all.
  • Apply housing policies for Complaints, Appeals, and Disputes.
  • Stay updated on housing options for those in need.
  • Source suitable tenants promptly for vacant properties.
  • Manage leases, bonds, inspections, and more.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders effectively.
  • Work with colleagues to enhance policies and systems.
  • Foster strong tenant and stakeholder relationships.
  • Promote UnitingSA Housing internally and externally.
  • Maintain the Single Housing Register.
  • Keep tenant files and databases up to date. 

Skills & Experience:

  • Desirable: Prior tenancy/property management experience.
  • Desirable: Proven experience in Community Services.
  • Familiarity with current Residential Tenancy laws.
  • Profound understanding of housing alternatives for those in need.
  • Outstanding organisational and time-management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Effective engagement with diverse backgrounds and complexities.
  • Highly Desirable: Property Management qualifications.
