UMFC currently has an opportunity for appropriately qualified people to apply for the above full-time (part-time by negotiation) ongoing position based in Wodonga/Wangaratta.
The UMFC Child and Family Services supports vulnerable children, young people and their families through a range of activities including information and advice, taking referrals and linking with suitable community services, providing family-based intervention, and advice and support to early years services.
The Family Services program aims to strengthen the capacity of families to promote the safety, stability, and development of children and young people and to improve families' community connections and access to community resources. Family Services receives all referrals from the Child FIRST program.
This Family Services Practitioner role provides complex casework with children and families towards recovery, capacity building, sustainable change, and positive family functioning.
A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Social Science, Welfare or related discipline; and experience in the community services sector in case management or a similar role would be an advantage.
