Your journey to making a difference starts here as our newest Family Counsellor.
As a Family Counsellor, you will support separated families in high-conflict situations, helping them navigate parenting arrangements while prioritising the best interests of the child. Your skills and experience will be essential in delivering high-quality services to families experiencing separation. You will utilise interventions such as family counselling, parent and child group work, and child-inclusive processes to facilitate workable parenting arrangements in accordance with all regulatory and organisational policies and guidelines.

To be eligible for this role, we seek a candidate who holds tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, Counselling or equivalent.
You will have specialist knowledge of the Family Law Act 1975, the child and family service system, and the legal frameworks relevant to separating families. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with high emotional intelligence and the ability to sensitively convey challenging or complex ideas.
