We are searching for a skilled and driven Project Officer to join this exciting project on a part-time basis for a 3-year fixed-term contract.

The role

As our Project Officer for the Sanctuary Model working within UMFC's vision and values, you will facilitate the implementation of the Sanctuary Model. In this pivotal role and with support from the Executive Sponsor, you will collaborate with all client-facing and operational services and stakeholders across UMFC to help create a trauma-informed environment that promotes safety, empowerment and healing for employees and clients.

Your Experience

To be eligible for this role, a qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or other relevant field, in addition to some experience in project planning and practice frameworks with measurable outcomes is required.

You will be a person who brings not just formal expertise, but a strong understanding and experience in trauma-informed practice. Your values and work ethic will also be underpinned by understanding the importance of safety in teams, and the social responsibility that comes with working with clients that have faced adversity in their lives. You will also have some knowledge of the Sanctuary Model and the theoretical basis of trauma theory. Further training in the Sanctuary Model will also be provided.

Your open communication, strong facilitation and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, are paramount in effectively liaising with stakeholders. Your extensive experience in managing significant projects, including the ability to engage with external stakeholders to promote awareness of the Sanctuary Model will be highly desirable.
